Will gold bottom?
Start with GDXJ vs GDX.
If this trade is real, if this is more than just another bounce, this ratio needs to bottom here. Not later. Not eventually. Here.
Because Junior Gold Miners are where risk lives inside this space. Smaller companies. Less stability. More upside, more downside.
When money flows there, it's not being careful. It's not hedging. It's taking a shot.
That's what you want to see at the beginning of a move.
Not safety. Not defensive positioning. You want to see people getting uncomfortable. Reaching. Taking risk.

If this ratio rolls back over from here, then nothing has changed. It's still the same environment — choppy, frustrating, no real trend. Just noise dressed up as opportunity.
But if it holds… if it builds above this level and starts pushing higher…
That's different.
That's not just a bounce. That's behavior changing.
That's capital rotating into risk inside the metals space.
And when that happens, it doesn't stay contained. It spreads.
Because real trends don't start with confirmation. They start when people stop playing defense and start taking shots.
This is that moment. |
