A short-term sideways trend doesn't mean the longer-term uptrend is over.
This is just part of the process.
How long will it take Semis to break out of this base? That I don't know. But I will tell you that Broadcom exploding higher, with over a $1 Trillion market-cap, is certainly not a bad thing.
The broadening participation (pun intended) in mega-cap Semiconductors, is a characteristic of healthy market environments. And there is little evidence to suggest that this is not one of those.
Until we start to see an expansion in stocks going down, which we currently have not, we want to maintain a "buy the dip" mentality, particularly when sector rotation is involved.
